L.I.F.E

Apr 14, 2009

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both…
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
(The Road Not Taken – Robert Frost)

Let's talk about life tonight,
I know it's already past midnite and there is no way anyone wanna hear such crap called L.I.F.E, but I just feel like it.. coz am feeling it having a grand meeting in my abdomen -- and am proud of that!

I just watched GA's 5th Season ed,
A woman died, which is quite natural that someone did. But it crushed her husband, it almost endangered her newly-born child, and it affected a doctor's reputation. The label just then be buried along with her. Whereas on the other case three siblings are fighting over not getting into the OR for the risk of hereditary cancer, because they think the odds for surviving after the surgery is more painful than dying with the disease. Then I came to realise, how ignorant we are sometimes to life, how we think it's a piece of an engagement ring.. when we broke then we toss it off..

Let's talk about life,
Who is familiar with love? the butterfly in our stomach that wont go away even until that amazing person who just smiled at you left.
Who knows how happiness feels like? the melting feeling that cools what's inside your chest and pumps you back alive.
Tell me.. who knows how pain feels? the sensation that crutches you down.
Who is accustomed to jealousy? lousy feeling that blackened even the smartest brain and tear you apart though you feel like wining the game - bummer!
Who has been the object of jealousy? poor creature who doesnt know what to do which to choose whilst the other person pointing finger doesnt give a damn breath to know what it's like to be in one's shoes.
Who doesnt know about anger? burning sensation all over your body -- doctors diagnose you with heart damage for you just nearly resign to breathe or cause someone else with that.

Let's talk about life shall we..
Do you remember to count your breathing? Have you smiled to anyone? Do you think they deserve it? Do you think you deserve all these? Do you think what people think? How many of you said 'grace' for today?

We never talk about life to God,
especially at the loneliest time.. when He meets us in our deepest sleep to share what we attain during the day. The worse case even, we never talk about life to ourselves.. we keep the topic well hidden under our comfortable sheet - pull them up as we jump in to rest our souls. As simple as it may seem, we never really realise what L.I.F.E is.

The four standing out letters are there.. called themselves LIFE,
but never nor any of us really reckon it.. how it grows, what it feeds and how it goes away leaving a body less human. Those letters calling themselves life are there, as we are here, unfortunately we barely know each other -- for it is too painful when it leaves thus we think better off not knowing to minimize risks...

Yes we hardly talk about life,
Thats why I wanna talk about life tonite.. but please dont stop as you stop goin thru this inane note.. talk to your mates, your enemies, your children, your parents, talk to yourself. There is a LIFE out there - d'u hear it callin?

Thailand in Emergency

Apr 11, 2009

Thailand on Saturday cancelled a summit of Asian leaders for security reasons after more than 1,000 anti-government protesters stormed the meeting venue in Pattaya.

The red-shirted protesters, who were demanding the resignation of Thai Prime Abhisit Vejjajiva, smashed through the glass doors of the convention hall in Pattaya and ran through the building, overturning tables, blowing horns and waving Thai flags.

Abhisit Vejjajiva declared a state of emergency in the city and the area surrounding it on Saturday.

"In this case I have used my authority to announce an extreme state of emergency in Pattaya and Chon Buri province," he said.

The state of emergency decree gives the military the right to restore order, allows authorities to suspend civil liberties, bans public gatherings of more than five people and bars the media from reporting news that "causes panic."

Abhisit said the ASEAN, Association of Southeast Asian Nations, summit meeting had been "postponed".

"I have met with other ASEAN leaders and have told them my decision and they all understood the situation," Abhisit said on local television.

The Thai Foreign Ministry said all the ASEAN leaders were safe.

Meanwhile in Bangkok around a hundred protestors went to the Prime Minister's house, the latest in a series of targets in the capital.

Most of the protesters however remained in Pattaya.

Abhisit was appointed by Parliament in December after a court dissolved a government led by Thaksin's allies for election fraud.

The protesters say Abhisit took office illegitimately and should step down so new elections can be held.

The summit, which began Friday morning with a meeting of foreign ministers from the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations, was supposed to swing into action on Saturday when ASEAN leaders were set to meet with counterparts from China, Japan, South Korea.

The meetings was scheduled to conclude on Sunday with the full-fledged East Asia Summit, which also includes India, Australia and New Zealand for a total of 16 nations.

A Glimpse on The Party of Democracy

Apr 10, 2009

I caught a glimpse of morning today,
As a judgment day it is.. people are partying for the birth of young-spirited democracy, a so called freedom in looser chain.

Some people are pretty certain,
as they enter the voting-chambers and tick for their votes while many others had lost their votes over a skip in database, and the rest from estimated 2 million eligible-to-vote citizens chose to be non-voters. While I admit that I had had the slightest thought to devote myself as non-voter -- I vote!

A friend of mine, if i may quote him, saying
"Certainly, I'm proud for becoming a part of Indonesian's important moment, coz even one vote can determine this nation's fate for the next 5 years.. but i think it was more complicated, considering many political party's existence. And you?"

And me..
"It's not only complicated bcoz of the numerous parties, but also the unfriendly voting-system :D and then, for all that much confusion they provide citizens only several hours to vote.. whats that? this proven the unpreparedness of our election -- that makes me even think abt whats happening next at the presidential election.. though proud to say, we came in peace.. and that's a good sign for young-born democracy :) "

Yes I vote,
After a long queue.. I was called to enter the lines and there in the voting-chamber spending 5mins time figuring who are these guys, their faces and names are barely familiar.. It took me quite a pause before sampling to most decent way of giving my voice to the better-fate of my beloved country.. Sadly, I could probably feel much better not to vote (hehehe..).

But I also respect those who don't..
People who had lost their appetite in entering democracy field as it's never gotten any better by times. People who think that they might as well lose their voices coz submitting them arent really representing what tickling their hearts for so long.. There has been too much disappointment and devastation.

What I see today from that glimpse..
Is whether we choose for future change or continuation of what's on track.. Am not the one bragging about knowing how to run the country thru picturesque promises or one who simply down to earth yet unsuccessful in bridging the gap with feasible ideas. I am one who see the future with my own eyes, I see people, and they deserve this freedom to vote.. nevertheless to be non-voters.

Let's face this young-aged democracy,
learn as we learn how to drive and hit some time.. embrace as we experience kisses for free-spirited lovers.. break as we are hurt by denouncement, and live again as babies are born to the world with hopes by seeing smiling-welcoming faces.

Let's be proud of ourselves and what we have chosen to take our step into today enliven the party of democracy:)
